Tie on the Ropes?

WSJ reports that tie sales are down to 50% of what they were in 1995 ($677 million vs. $1.3 billion) and only 6% of American men wear a tie to work every day. Crazy stuff. My real point, though, is that I thought this quote was quite interesting: "Power is being able to dress the way you want." Thought it was a really interesting point about the way business culture has changed over the years. People are now dressing down to make their authority felt.
