What is RSS?

It's Really Simple Syndication.

RSS stands for really simple syndication. Essentially it allows you to subscribe to content on a webpage. All you do is find yourself an RSS aggregator (Bloglines is a free web-based aggregator) and subscribe to my RSS feed at http://www.noahbrier.com/index.xml.

From then on, everytime you use your aggregator it will ping NoahBrier.com to see if I have any new entries. If I do, it will let you know and most aggregators will allow you to read the full content of the entry right there and then (there are those that only allow you to see titles and then you have to click through to read the rest). That means now you only need to go to one place to see content from the webpages you enjoy, rather than having to go check 20 different sites.
